This is necessary if you have Windows 7 installed as around this time Microsoft issued a security update to Windows 7 that made VideoStudio X8 non-functional on Windows 7 machines.

Install the VideoStudio 8.5 Hotfix 2 (see above). Install the X8 Service Pack 3 (see above). Install the 1Main, 2Contents, 3Bonus and BluRay Plugin files (see A.2-A.5 below).ī. Minor editorial changes and clarifications (these are not necessarily marked in red)Īs a new purchaser and user of Corel Video Studio X8 Ultimate, I found there was a lack of basic documentation such as a Software Installation guide (you get a bunch of files with no indication as to what is what, what order to install them, etc.), how to get the User Manual for the Video Studio software (not included with the installation files), a description of what the various plugins are (those included in the Ultimate package) and where to get the User Manual for those (they are not described in the Video Studio manual), and so on. Removal of a few obsolete links where replacements could not be found (not all links have been checked so a few obsolete ones may remain)
